Hastelloy C276 Plates has excellent machinability, though the alloy work toughens as is correct of the nickel base alloys overall. The high molybdenum and nickel contents in Hastelloy C276 Perforated Sheets (UNS N10276) make this nickel steel alloy particularly resistant to crevice corrosion and pitting in reducing atmospheres while chromium content delivers resistance to oxidizing media. Hastelloy C276 Sheets hasexcellent resistance to strong oxidizers like ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, seawater, brine solutions, sulfur compounds, wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide.
